Postoffice is an enchanting and inviting family-run apothecary
boutique, appropriately dubbed Wild Earth Apothecary. In the
short time since the boutique planted its roots in Galveston,
it has entranced many visitors and locals who find themselves
lingering around for much longer than planned.
This is probably due to the exotic array of quality herbs,
botanicals, and teas, and an eclectic mix of trinkets and fair
trade items from around the world. Or perhaps they stay to
simply enjoy the company of its genial and knowledgeable
owners, Chris and Pamela Valentine.
“We want to make herbs and botanicals more available
to everyone. It’s also about promoting the ritual and the
lifestyle,” says Pamela, “Who knows, maybe that’s where the
healing actually takes place.”
Many of Wild Earth’s products
and herbs are born, tried, and
tested right here in the Texas
coastal bayous and foraged off the
Valentine’s ranch in Freer, Texas.
With Pamela’s nursing background
and the valuable life lessons and
experiences the couple has gleaned
from their diverse family ancestry,
every special thing that Wild Earth
has to offer is essentially a tribute
to the myriad of different cultures
found around the world.
