Galveston Family Beach Challenge:
11am-5pm. The Galveston Park Board
is hosting a series of seven Family
Beach Challenges that will continue
throughout the summer. Families are
invited to go head to head in a series
of competitions including giant Jenga,
sack races and more – all to win some
fantastic prizes. These events are free to
the public and structured for groups of
four people. The family with the most
points at the end of the day will receive
a $500 gift card, plus tickets to island
attractions. Held at Stewart Beach, 201

annual Galveston Island Beach Revue.
Enjoy the Bathing Beauties Contest, Hot
Rod + Classic Car and Vintage Trailer
Show, kids activities and live music. Held
at Beach Central, 2102 Seawall Blvd. Free

Galveston Island Market:
10am-4pm. An
outdoor arts and crafts festival featured
handmade and locally created products.
Look for the tents along the sidewalk
on 23rd Street from Strand to Market
and along Mechanic between 22nd and
23rd. Cancelled in cases of heavy rain

Kendra Scott Trunk Show:
3-6pm. Hotel
Galvez is hosting a Kendra Scott Trunk
Show with 20% of sales benefitting the
Junior League of Galveston County.
Kendra Scott Friendswood will sell items
directly to customers in the lobby of the
hotel. As an added shopping incentive,
