Ghost Tour Dinners in October
This month, the 106-year-old hotel invites guests to learn more about the paranormal
during its annual ghost tour and dinner event, “Dinner with the Ghosts.” During the
one-hour tour, the Hotel Galvez Concierge Melissa Hall guides guests through the hotel’s
ghostly past using popular ghost hunting tools to conduct a paranormal investigation.
Participants learn about the hotel’s “Ghost Bride” and other reported strange occurrences.
The tour begins at 6pm and is followed by a three-course dinner at Galvez Bar & Grill at
7pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings
throughout October, $56 per person (inclusive of tax
and server gratuity). The ghost tour and dinner is
also available Friday nights, but only as part of an
overnight package.
For reservations for the ghost tour and dinner
or to book the overnight package, call 409.765.7721.
As the region recovers and Galveston gears up for the fall season, Hotel Galvez & Spa, A Wyndham Grand Hotel,
is doing its part to support Harvey relief efforts as well as stepping up its ghost tour and dinners in October.

Island East-End Theatre Company is pleased to present the national hit
Sex With Strangers,
a widely acclaimed and
provocative comedy written by Laura Eason (“House of Cards”) and directed by ETC Artistic Director Kim Mytelka.

When two writers become unexpectedly trapped in a secluded cabin during a winter storm, opposites attract. As their one-
night stand turns into something more complicated and their literary futures become intimately intertwined, both writers
confront who they are, what they really want, and how much they are willing to change to get it.
Sex with Strangers
runs through Saturday, October 21 at Island ETC, located at 2317 Mechanic Street. Performances are
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 8pm. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for students and senior citizens. To
