Moody Gardens Offers Safe and Joyful Celebration at Holiday in the Gardens

In a year that has been anything but traditional, guests can look forward to festive lights, music, foo d and a spacious outdoor setting to allow for all the comforts of a traditional holiday season at Moody Gardens starting November 21.

Festival of Lights returns in its 19th year to Moody Gardens this holiday season providing the ideal venue for families to make lasting memories and the opportunity to escape with special hotel deals.

Visitor s can enjoy the one - mile trail with two million lights filled with sound enhanced lighted and animated displays themed to their favorite holiday music November 21 thr u January 2, 2021 including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Popular displays include the Nutcrackers, a toy factory, 12 Days of Christmas display, a narrated nativity scene – and of course, plenty of animals. Don’t miss Star: The Dancing Tree of Light, a four - story digital Christmas tree.

“This year is different and we have made the necessary modifications to allow our guests to relax and have a safe and enjoyable experience,” said Moody Gardens President and CEO John Zendt, who added that the outdoor setting is ideal for social distancing . He also noted that Moody Gardens has implemented a Pyramid Promise with a comprehensive Health and Safety Program to provide an experience that will be clean, safe and fun.

Other holiday attractions include Rudolph 4D, 3D films, an Arctic Slide and train rides, plus fireside s’mores and great food. Hotel packages and group pricing are also available.

The Ice Land attraction won't be one of the activities to be featured this year because the ice carving team respon sible for setting it up was n't able to make it to Houston from China due to the pandemic.

Those looking for bargains and fewer visitors can take advantage of Value Days Sunday - Thursday, November 29 thru December 17. The best deal is a Holiday Pass which includes admission to the Festival of Lights as well as a 3D and 4D movie and the Arctic Slide for $20 on a Value Day and $30 regularly.

Festival of Lights and other holiday attractions open at 6 pm nightly and close at 9 pm on Value Days at 10 pm on all other days. Moody Gardens’ regular attractions open at 10 am daily.
